Meet Renee

Renee Martin has always had an eye for style and a true passion for creating unforgettable shopping experiences. Her retail journey began as a buyer of women’s lingerie at Kohl’s, where she developed a deep understanding of quality, fit, and what makes customers feel confident and cared for.

After moving to the Rio Grande Valley, Renee shifted into real estate and earned her Broker’s license—an accomplishment she still maintains today. But her entrepreneurial heart had something more in store. At the age of 40, she opened Renee’s of Sharyland, a beloved 8,500 sq. ft. boutique that became a local destination, complete with a much-loved café still remembered fondly by the community.

Nearly 15 years ago, Renee expanded her vision to the coast with Renee’s of South Padre Island. When she and her husband decided to spend more time enjoying island life, she made the heartfelt decision to close the Sharyland location in 2017 and pour her full energy into the South Padre store.

Today, Renee’s South Padre Island continues her legacy of curated style, warm hospitality, and something special for every budget.
